🚨LEFTYS CAUGHT ON CAMERA OUTSIDE THE RACECOURSE RIPPING DOWN OUR FLAGS🚨 This is them Sunday night. Six of them out ripping our flags down on Mold Road and the B&Q roundabout. A member of the public filmed it and messaged us. We caught up with them just after midnight.... The woman and the bloke coming straight at one of our lads who took their poles off them. Pole with screws in, flung at his face. He tells him to stay away. She threatens to stab him in the face, repeatedly, which was all heard by other team members who were at home. One of our team was already attacked before this, three puncture wounds in his hand. Police seized the poles as offensive weapons and moved them on. We will be giving statements for theft and criminal damage of property paid for by your donations, plus the weapons, the assault and the threats. The flags are going back up. We are not having it. Our party cadres were arrested by police officials last night for erecting flags on the occasion of our Vetri Thalaivar TVK Vijay s Birthday in Tiruvattriyur at 1215 midnight. We had gathered and sent Advocates from our Advocates Wing and all of them were later released on seeing our cadre strength and Advocate Team s efficiency.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague, Rep. Doug LaMalfa. Doug was a devoted public servant who deeply loved the people of Northern California and never stopped working for them. He believed in this country, in our work, and in the responsibility we have to serve every constituent with care and humility. Not all of our Muslim neighbors are violent. Not at all. The vast majority of Muslims that we meet will not be violent. We can befriend them and love them. We can share the gospel with them and see the image of God in them, just as much in them as it is in us and our children. At the same time, we must be completely clear-eyed about the contradiction between the American way of life and the ideology of political Islam. We must do that. I think we are obligated to do that.

So we walked past the US Embassy with our press gear to cover the protest against the illegal kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. We were stopped by Kenyan soldiers who took photos of our IDs and also took a photo of my face. I asked why they were taking a picture of my face and he said, “For memory.” About 100 yards further down the road, we were stopped again. This time our IDs were photographed again and our names were written down, but by private security from G4S. I asked them what they planned to do with the pictures. They said they would hand them to the US Embassy. I asked, “Why, in a sovereign country on a public sidewalk, are you taking photos of our IDs and handing them to a foreign government?” He said he didn’t want to argue, then left us with a warning that the protest would be dangerous and that we should be careful, because security could not protect media freedoms today.

As we held our campaign today in Kibuli-Makindye East for the NUP Parliamentary flag-bearer, some 5 youth raided our campaign grounds, clad in Mr. Museveni’s tshirts and holding his posters. This was a clear sign of provocation, so we asked the Territorial police and military which was present to escort them out to avoid a potential confrontation, because according to the schedule it was NUP meant to be at the premises. Police ignored our pleas, so our supporters then escorted them out of the place. We condemn this provocation, and the in-action by the territorial police. Had it been NUP supporters who had raided a scheduled rally of NRM candidates, police and the military would have brutality arrested them and detained them!!

Last night at around 11:30pm our officers spotted a group of males in the city centre, who were all wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, riding e-bikes and doing wheelies along the road. They all tried to evade us, but unlucky for them, we carried out an effective tactical response and caught them all quickly after. One rider was caught and arrested on Renshaw Street, which you can see in this video, and a second rider, and his passenger were arrested near Rodney Street. A knife was found at the scene and one of the males was in possession of £5,000. A subsequent search of a property linked to one of the suspects led to the discovery of an additional £3,000 in cash as well as cannabis. This work is all part of Operation Gears, which is our ongoing commitment to tackling dangerous, illegal and anti-social vehicle use across the region, making communities safer for residents, businesses and road users.
