Why is this in English

All the nations mentioned share a history of imperialism. The Italians, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese have been conquering nations long before the Zulu nation existed. To be a dominant culture, you must conquer and impose your way of life.

It’s crazy that she’s speaking about colonialism and what what, in colonial tongue/language and yet we are accused of not celebrating our culture enough??

Nonsense, we have 11 official languages, we dominate in exporting 3 major industries across the world. Now if I come with my Sepedi and another one rocks isiZulu and the other one rocks Afrikaans in a meeting how long will that take. Also ZCC celebrates September as a new year

Nywe nywe AmaZulu don’t want to speak other languages, even English, they don’t want speak it. Nisibhedela la, we love our culture and language

She talk like culture is going extinct South Africans speak multiple languages

I hear you, but we have bigger problems right now!!

…she says, in pretty good English. Would love her thoughts on how it came to be that Mandarin and the Han Chinese dominate China. Or what happens when a country like India has many languages and but using one language causes rifts. Some good points, but also a bit naive.

Wayibeka ngesikhulu isiNgisi eshibilika naso . . .

true, those of us who are cultured, who speak against ethnic cleansing, who are patriotic, we get called xenophobes. we see girlfriends burying their boyfriends and those are examples of the uncultured people we now have in our societies who are unaware of what we consider taboo
