This happens in rescues. And we will see these cases in increasing numbers due to human activities and infrastructure without a thought. Why can’t the govt build wild -life passes/corridors at-least ?

Sad that we still handle precious wild animals with sticks. They could have used a tranquilizer and moved to their safe location. Both would be safe. Unfortunately we say leopard attacked. You just can't go with bare hands as if you are handling a pet.

“A terrifying close encounter with a leopard outside a home in Himachal Pradesh. The animal suddenly appears in front of a man who had stepped outside after hearing a noise. Fortunately, the leopard moves away without attacking. The incident highlights the growing concern over human–wildlife encounters in Himalayan communities.”

Are these forest officials stupid? That's a leopard (also injured!), not a street dog. Is this how they come to rescue a wild animal? With sticks to beat it up and shove it inside the van? A bunch of morons filled in the department (same issue PAN India).

@NagpurKaRajini Visibly it’s clear animal is injured. Confusion and anxiety is therefore natural. @aranya_kfd is required to tranquillise and remove the animal to animal trauma center for treatment otherwise this leopard will lose its life.

Using sticks to rescue a leopard. Indian authorities are allergic to professionalism.

the way the driver just sped off after hitting it is the real crime here. the forest officials were literally doing their job and still got attacked. nobody talks about how these animals are forced onto highways because we bulldozed everything they had.

What kind of joke is this? First it was necessary to stop the traffic there so that no one gets hurt, but the rescue is being done in moving traffic.
