LeRoy didn't have a single baserunner until the 6th inning. They took a scoreless ballgame into extra innings and had to fight through every at-bat. Here's the two-run triple from Natalie Loy in the 8th that sent the LeRoyHS_Softball to state for the first time in school history.

#OTD 2011 - In Game 6 of the World Series played at Busch Stadium, a Cardinals baseball legend was born - twice! David Freese has one of the greatest clutch performances, in one of the craziest games in the history of the World Series. The back-and-forth game saw the Cardinals come back from a two-run deficit in the bottom of the 9th inning and again in the 10th inning! David Freese (with the Cardinals down to their final strike) smacks an opposite-field two run triple in the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game to send it into extra innings. In the top of the 10th inning, Josh Hamilton hits a two-run home runs, seemingly giving the Rangers their first World Series Championship... Now trailing 9-7 as they head into the bottom of the 10th inning, the Cardinals still had plenty of fight in them. Ryan Theriot's single scores Daniel Descalso to bring the Cardinals within one. Lance Berkman (with the Cardinals down to their final strike once again) slashes a single to right-center field to tie the game at 9 and send the game into the 11th inning. 🎙️"They just, won't, go, away." - Joe Buck Starting pitcher Jake Westbrook comes in to pitch the 11th inning, and holds the Rangers to just a single, to set the stage for Cardinals magic. The first batter of the inning is ... One of the smartest baseball plays I've seen in a long time, and I'd like to share it with you. Bases Loaded with two outs in the 5th inning with izaacpacheco at the plate. Austin Murr is the runner at first base. Pacheco hits a ground ball to 2B. If Austin Murr goes in sliding, he's forced out to end the inning. If he runs through and continues on to third, he'll be safe at second and allow the West Michigan Whitecaps score a run before a rundown causes the inning to end. They wouldn't have gotten the run any other way. West Michigan went on to win the game 5-4 in 10 innings.

2 years ago today: KINZIE MAGIC! With OU down to its last strike, Kinzie Hansen hit a three-run home run in to send the game into extra innings. OU would win 8-7 in 9 innings, as the final game at Marita Hynes Stadium ended up being one of the most exciting in program history. The win also sent the Sooners back to OKC.
