My surgery went well yesterday - thank you everyone for all the kind words and prayers. I know this corner of ours means it when they say it. Lotta pain, but that's to be expected. Now lemme put a smile on your face: We've done this so many times with old shelter dogs, and the pattern is almost always the same - when they get here, they're usually nervous and quiet; unsure of what is in store and what their life is gonna be like. After being here with me, OBX Dog Walker and the rest of the dogs, they start to relax and be the dog they wanna be; the dog they were or could have been before they were abandoned. Molly was so quiet and reserved when we got her, and now? Yeah. She's right at home, letting me know I need to get off my ass and feed her. Love to see it. And I'm grateful to all of you.

This Town was released 10 years ago today. it was the first song i released out on my own and it’s so special to me for many reasons. when i think back i remember a lot of big pop songs with big productions , around at that time. i feel This Town stood out as it was just one voice and an acoustic guitar. after that, you guys all over the world really connected to it and it took on a life of its own. to reach over a billion streams and see you all singing it back to me all these years later , is absolutely unbelievable . i’ll never really be able to explain how grateful i am for all of this and for your support. a few words on stage , a short caption is not enough words to explain how thankful i am. i’m working on a few special things to celebrate that will be coming very soon. it was my song and now it’s ours happy 10 years of this town ❤️

Someone sent me these videos yesterday, and they brought back so many memories for me. At this point in the show, I felt so alone and so angry. I told myself, “I’d rather die than not win this,” especially because of the way everyone was snickering at me when the game started. (We’re all friends now, it’s fine 😂) Imagine how amazing I would have felt if I had known there was someone out there rooting for me this much, hoping to see me win and succeed. I’ve learned that you never truly know who is watching, who you are inspiring, or whose day you are bringing joy to. Be authentic. Give everything in life your best shot. Be willing to go against the odds to achieve your goals. In the end, only victors get to write their stories. This video has inspired me all over again, and I hope it inspires you too. I'm laying in my tent reflecting on my life right now..and I have to say, some would say my life situation of being homeless is a sad thing .. because you see people out there who are addicts and in bad situations .. but mine isn't anything like that. Although I havent had a home in 10 years, I see and feel the blessing. I'm so free in life to live how I want in life. Sure while sometimes I desire a bed to come home too.. I get to have a bed anywhere in life I want. I'm so free to live and explore as I please with nothing to tie me down. If I could share any piece of advice, it is simple do not trade your freedom of life for the chains of society and what they deem how YOU should live. I promise in this day and age you can be so free and make money without anyone there to tell you when to clock in, when to eat lunch, when you can use the bathroom, none of that! I hope you all find the bliss I feel in life someday.

All of those people who constantly cry about “cancel culture” are at it again cancelling a company called Liberty Safe. This comes after they spent months trying to cancel Bud Light. These people will say, “but we are justified,” and they are not. That’s not how this works though. People boycott and “cancel” companies and people when they feel there is a justification to do it. It doesn’t mean that it has to be justified in your mind, but it is in theirs. It’s just so hypocritical to me when people attack others for canceling companies but they go ahead and do the exact same thing themselves. For those who aren't familiar with this story, the Liberty Safe company gave a passcode to the FBI so that they could access a suspected criminal's safe. There was a search warrant issued on the criminal's home where the safe was located. What do you think? Do you support cancel culture? Do you only support it when it’s in your best interest, or do you support it no matter who it is?

To those who say "it's her choice" I used to say the same thing about my own Hijab. I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood. Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell. Like when someone puts a gun to your head and says "you can go left or right", technically, yes, that's a choice. I picked heaven. I called it freedom. And I believed it, because that's what happens when fear is all you've ever known. And if you think I shouldn't be telling you my story, I don't care. I really, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, don't care. The women still living under that "choice"? I care about them. #LetUsTalk

I don't really like dogs. I am physically challenged and can't walk properly and they bark at me for different walking. But these days I am becoming more and more fond of them because of them. It all started when their mother was pregnant and my mom used to give her milk every morning and evening. After they were born first they used to come with their mother and now their mother sees them having milk and let them have it. That's the other story but why I am liking them? Because they know my office timings. When I go to office and start my scooty they run from wherever they are and start dancing around my scooty. Then my mother gives them milk and they get to a side and I can go. In the evening they listen to my honking and run from wherever they are and again gather around my scooty trying to play with me. Sometimes I am afraid so that they don't get run over. But as usual milk comes and they get to a side and I can enter my home. Other than my family members they are also waiting for me. And I am loving it 🙂❤️

When I was first called up for training, a lot of my teammates didn't seem to like me because of my skin color. Some of them even mocked me to my face, calling me 'black monkey' and saying I'm not a real Argentine. It hurt I won't lie. I was sad and I called my mom. She encouraged me not to let it weigh me down. She told me more of that would come, but I should never let it get to me. And now? I think my teammates are finally starting to accept me.
