Play great defense for 5 seconds and then the percentages: 4 things have to go right for the offense. 1. Must make the 1st FT. 2. Must miss 2nd FT correctly 3. Have get the offensive rebound 4. Must score or kick it out for a shot. Defense: 1 Rebound

@TheAndyKatz Where is ball being put back in play? If full court, Option C. More room and time to waste before fouling. Even half court inbounds, still C, but is more challenging. Also, are we a good rebounding team? If no, fouling is not the “guarantee” many like to claim it is.

Option C, but you need to have a tremendous amount of trust in your team to execute the game plan and not foul on a shot. If low trust, I would foul right away assuming my team was a good free throw shooting team. Otherwise play D. So to answer the question, it’s about knowing your strengths as a team and what they are capable of executing. What’s your answer coach?

@TheAndyKatz I think A is my preferred play. You’ve got the lead and they have to make a 3 to tie so have your team stay in their grills and force them into a bad/low percentage shot.

@TheAndyKatz A, but only if you have bodies for overtime. Worst that happens is 5 extra minutes. If you foul, your chances of losing in regulation increase.

@TheAndyKatz C And stress to not foul a three point attempt
