Today in Meru, I urged the people to remain vigilant. The people of Meru are not beggars, and we do not seek handouts. As farmers, all we require is access to certified seeds and affordable fertiliser , a programme I initiated while in office. Since the time of the founding fathers of our nation, the Mountain has been one. The Mountain remains one, and it shall forever be one. We must therefore disregard the divisive talk of Mount Kenya East and Mount Kenya West. I call upon the residents of Meru to support our Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua and the Democracy for citizens Party (DCP). This is the only party in the Mount Kenya region that truly secures our interests. Wantam is our anthem in Meru.

The diktat from the Bangla Birodhi Zamindars that MPs cannot say ‘Jai Hind’ or even ‘Vande Mataram’ in Parliament is an attack on the very soul of our democracy. ‘Vande Mataram’ is our national song. ‘Jai Hind’ is the slogan of every Indian. These are not empty words; they were the cries of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. To try and erase them is to try and erase our history. Is this what they mean by governance, silencing the voice of a state that has always stood for democracy, secularism, and the unity in diversity of our country? Bengal is not outside India. Today, when some of our people displayed printouts of the Pakistan flag to expose the betrayal happening on our own soil, three Muslim men shamelessly came forward and started chanting "Pakistan Zindabad" right in front of us. My main concern is this: these people have taken every possible benefit from this land — they enjoy our facilities, our schools, our hospitals, our jobs — they thrive because of our resources, yet when it comes to loyalty, they pray and offer duas for Pakistan. This is a direct betrayal of the very soil that has fed them, sheltered them, and given them opportunities. They live among us but dream of Pakistan — a country that has drenched its hands in the blood of our ancestors. They spit on the very hand that feeds them. This is not just ingratitude; this is treason. And let me make it very clear — we will not allow this betrayal to go unanswered. We will not stay silent while they glorify the enemy on our land. There must be consequences for this open mockery of our nation.

It is a nation where you are free to be a Christian — or any other faith, or no faith at all. The religious right would probably call the Founding Fathers ‘not real Christians’ given their beliefs. I think it's important that we remember our true history and we honor that that promise of America as a melting pot — E pluribus unum, out of many one. It's a promise we obviously haven't ever fulfilled, but it is one that we're still trying to fulfill.
