@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 The only fact anyone needs to know: 3 horses died for human entertainment.

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 Three horses didn’t die in the Grand National.

No they didn’t. Not in the Grand National. That was across three days. Not one. Stop tweeting inaccurate info to your followers. Richard spoke well but the other mob have no interest in engaging or educating themselves.

@kevinblake2011 @RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 This is misleading. Only one horse died in the race, and according to the trainer it fell at the first fence having worked itself up because of the delayed start caused by the protestors. Said horse hadn’t fallen at a fence for years.

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 If three jockeys had died in the race would there be a different perspective taken...?

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 How many of the 50,000 re-wild horses would survive a year without suffering a broken bone or colic? No veterinary attention so they’ll just to have take days/weeks to die, just like animals do in the wild.

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 "They are bred to race". So that people can gamble, and sometime get into difficulties. No mention of this. No mention of horses getting whipped. Those jobs could go into other work in the rural community if stables and racecourses were given over to growing food or solar farms.

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 It’s all about the money. Gambling is big business and these poor horses are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that a horse died yesterday and the gambling industry lined their pockets.

@RichardHoiles @AndrewCastle63 Put perfectly Richard. Haven't seen the full interview, so you may have referenced it. But ensuring these activists truly understand the operation behind the scenes and how care levels go way beyond requirements for 'pet' horses is key. We've got to engage, in my opinion.
