It wasn’t a red card. Keep crying 😢

@JimmyDe11748228 Did you watch the video? I literarily said that. Doesn’t change the fact that switching up the rules is a disgrace. You hide behind your faceless account though.

@JimmyDe11748228 So they correct it and now it’s “the most disgraceful thing in World Cup history?”

@JimmyDe11748228 You can’t change the rules mid-tournament, let alone because of political interference. Is it that hard to understand?

@3iOrbiter @JimmyDe11748228 The rule that was broken was the way the VAR was applied and reviewed. The ref broke the rule set by FIFA hence his decision shouldn’t even have been valid in the first place, regardless of whether it should or should not have been a red card.

Ok if it was let a red card and if Messi did the same thing and didn’t get a red card why are you outraged and calling it corruption.

I‘ve tweeted multiple times about Argentina getting dodgy calls, including that one.

Also, no outrage with Ronaldo getting a pass. Like come on. You know it shouldn’t had been a red card so what the matter with over turning it. There was no malicious intent. It was an accident. Messi was behind the player and did it.

Corruption by the VAR booth initially. Correct.

What’s your opinion on Ronaldo being allowed to play the group stages?

Shouldn’t have happened but it is slightly different

Tienes toda la razón las decisiones que se toman en la cancha no deben cambiarse a capricho de los políticos. Es parte de la dureza del futbol y la autoridad que representa un árbitro

It wasn’t a red in the first place. I’d worry more about your game in a few hours at the Azteca, they’re gonna need it

FIFA violated its own rules to give the red card in the first place. That’s why they suspended it.

Imagine they looked at the one shot from Kanes dive and gave him a Red Card for embellishment. And then reversed it making things right. You wouldn’t be this upset.

It's the pot calling the kettle black. The rescinding of the red-card was definitely corrupt and political, but the red card never should've been given in the first place.

Sam Farley's profile picture
Sam Farley3 months ago

I agree with that, but you can’t change the rules.

Sam - I love your stuff but this is about FIFA being corrupt and not the host nation. I mean - Qatar had some egregious human rights violations but we’re talking about a host nation getting a black eye for a red card overturn. Make this about how FIFA is on the take at any turn.

Sam Farley's profile picture
Sam Farley3 months ago

They benefit the host nation regularly. It’s absolutely about the host nation and the benefits of them staying in longer, plus Gianni’s relationship with the Pres, just as much as FIFA itself.

Just a straw man argument but enjoy the match tonight.

This is not the first time that it happened for this World Cup. Was it corruption when they did the same thing for Ronaldo.
