Is strength important for speed development? Here’s my take ⤵️⤵️ For context — this is me cleaning 295 lbs at 167 lbs body weight and I credit my abilities in the weight room largely for helping my collegiate career flourish the way it did However… We can’t lift at the expense of speed training and development What that means is when we enter the weight room we can’t do so with blinders on acting as if the only thing in the world that matters is that weight training session or improving your 1RM YES… you need force to move your body through space YES… that force needs to be high relative to your body weight BUT… you must be a skilled mover to apply said force in the right positions, at the right times, with the right vectors for it to mean anything While important to holistic athletic development, we’ve got to stop acting like strength is the ultimate differentiator in speed Lot of “weak” athletes will blow your doors off in sprints Lot of “strong” athletes get folded in speed & power sports Go into the weight room with the idea that you’re complementing your speed and athletic development… not superseding it If your legs are so beaten and broken down from lifting heavy you can’t train for 2-3 days without excessive risk, you’re doing it all wrong. Just some perspective from someone who once pursued 1RMs to no end while my track times stagnated… and then was enlightened by world class coaches who lifted within the context of my sport to take me from a college tryout to D1 All American What’re your thoughts? Let’s discuss in the comments!

Call for Genuine Dialogue with Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) We are deeply concerned by the recent actions of the National Medical Commission National Medical Commission regarding the new policies affecting Foreign Medical Graduates #FMGs . Despite multiple attempts by #FMGs to engage in constructive dialogue about these policies, the doors have been closed to them, leaving many feeling unheard and marginalized. Key Issues Highlighted: 1.Lack of Engagement with FMGs: •When FMGs approached the NMC to discuss the recent circulars impacting their education and career pathways, they were met with a closed door. This lack of openness contradicts the NMC’s stated commitment to inclusivity and transparency. •On other occasions, the NMC has publicly invited dialogue with medical professionals on various issues. The exclusion of FMGs from such conversations suggests a discrepancy in how different members of the medical community are treated. 2.The Need for Authentic Communication: •Effective policymaking requires genuine engagement with all stakeholders. FMGs, who represent a significant portion of the medical workforce, deserve to have their voices heard and their concerns addressed in a fair and transparent manner. •The perception that the NMC is avoiding meaningful dialogue with FMGs undermines trust and suggests a lack of willingness to address the real challenges faced by these dedicated professionals. Our Stance: We at @udfaindia believe that a body like the NMC, which is designed to represent and listen to the medical community, must be open to all its members. Ignoring or sidelining any group is counterproductive and contrary to the principles of equality and fairness. Why This Matters: •Equity and Representation: All medical professionals, regardless of where they received their education, should have the opportunity to engage with regulatory bodies and influence policies that affect their careers and lives. •Transparency and Trust: For the NMC to maintain its credibility and legitimacy, it must foster an environment of openness and responsiveness, especially towards those who are most impacted by its decisions. •Potential for Unrest: If the NMC continues to act unilaterally without genuine dialogue, it risks alienating a significant portion of the medical community. This could lead to increased discontent and potential protests, which is not in anyone’s interest. Our Call to Action: •Open the Doors to Dialogue: We urge the NMC to actively engage with FMGs and their representatives to discuss the implications of recent policies and seek mutually acceptable solutions. •Demonstrate True Commitment: Show that the commitment to inclusivity and open dialogue is not just for show, but a fundamental principle guiding the NMC’s actions. •Listen and Represent: The NMC must fulfill its mandate to listen to and represent all members of the medical community, including FMGs who have contributed significantly to healthcare in India. Let’s Work Together for a Fair and Inclusive Medical Community. We remain hopeful that the NMC will reconsider its approach and embrace a more inclusive and open stance towards FMGs. It is only through unity and collaboration that we can ensure a just and effective healthcare system for all. #OpenDialogue #FairTreatment #SupportFMGs #NMCAccountability #FMGS National Medical Commission ALL FMGs ASSOCIATION(AFA) Free Press Journal Anil Sharda ravish ndtv Karn Pratap Singh

🚨Lionel Scaloni on the strange way Argentina played against Spain: • Reporter: Lionel, welcome home, and congratulations on reaching another World Cup final. But many fans were surprised by Argentina’s performance against Spain, it didn’t look like the team we’d seen throughout the tournament. What happened? 🗣️Lionel Scaloni: “First, congratulations to Spain. They deserved to be world champions and handled the final better than we did. I understand why people have questions. From the outside, a lot looked unusual. But football has stories the public never sees. Some things happen inside a dressing room, and out of respect for everyone involved, they should stay there.” • Reporter: Before kick-off, Messi told the team, ‘Let’s forget about everything. Let’s just play.’ There was no applause, and players like Enzo Fernández and Lisandro Martínez looked emotional. It felt very different. 🗣️Scaloni: “Every dressing room has emotional moments before a final. Cameras capture seconds, not the full picture. I won’t discuss private conversations, but everyone who stepped onto that pitch gave everything for Argentina.” • Reporter: Fans also noticed Messi during the warm-up, with some saying he looked distracted and even missed shots deliberately. Was something wrong? 🗣️Scaloni: “People can interpret body language however they want. Leo has his own routine after thousands of matches. It’s unfair to judge his mindset from a few minutes of footage.” • Reporter: Lautaro Martínez barely seemed involved despite being important throughout the tournament. Enzo Fernández and Leandro Paredes also played with an aggression that seemed out of character. Was something affecting the squad mentally? 🗣️Scaloni: “Finals change games. Spain controlled long periods, and that affects every player. Sometimes what looks strange is simply the result of facing a great opponent.” • Reporter: After losing Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez to injury, Argentina became much more defensive. Many fans felt that invited Spain onto you. 🗣️Scaloni: “Losing two key defenders in a World Cup final forces difficult decisions. Looking back, everyone can question them, including me but every change was made to help the team.” • Reporter: Argentina also struggled to keep the ball, Messi barely saw possession, and Spain kept winning it back. It didn’t resemble your tournament performances. 🗣️Scaloni: “Spain deserve huge credit because they forced mistakes no other team could. But we were also below our usual level. Whether it was nerves, fatigue, or simply an off night, we never found our rhythm.” • Reporter: Finally, Messi missed out on the Golden Ball, with Rodri winning it instead. Many Argentina fans believe Messi deserved it. What do you think? 🗣️Scaloni: “Individual awards will always divide opinions. For me, Leo had an extraordinary tournament and led this team brilliantly. A trophy doesn’t define what he achieved. As for everything else that’s being said… football has a way of revealing the truth over time. There are things I know, there are things I prefer to keep private, and there are things that people will continue to speculate about. My job isn’t to fuel speculation. Maybe one day certain stories will be understood more clearly, but today isn’t that day.”

Hello Midnight🅓🅡🅔🅐🅜🅔🅡 let me quickly share from my perspective as well~ 1. During Food Support, there are so many boxes coming. Not only come for JoongDunk or staff, but from all cast fanbases as well. So it’s really important to differentiate each box clearly to avoid confusion. There are a lot of time, Artist/Staff don’t have decent time to eat so they need to grab the food fast so it’s actually what’s advised- minimizing human error. (You can see other Artist are also putting their stickers individually). I know it maybe everyone’s first time in sending food support, it’s shocking and hectic at the same time. So i understand the frustration as you only want to rely support for both. So what i can advise you, you can add on SHARE BOX. There you can send message for Staff or even Dunk (if you send from JOT, sorry it was written in Thai for staff Summer Night at that time) 2. Each of fanbase is given the rights to send food support and to avoid unnecessary food waste, it’s not advised to send for both from one fanbase all the time. There are many times, since Joong and Dunk appreciate fans food support but cant finish them and they have to bring it home (Joong’s mom sometimes share about this or sometimes i saw managers bring their food support box to their cars). But not all the time, they can bring it home, right? Especially if the shooting take the whole day. Other than our food supporty, there are also food provide from other fanbase and also mandatory provided from the company. So always try to discuss with official~ If somehow you are looking for sending both JoongDunk, i advised sending Food Truck instead (if possible, though the cue is as rare as gem). Usually Food Truck is advised to send as CP Project (that’s at least from what i experience from THK) >> Since we have so many cast during DYTD, let’s wait for official consideration. Feel free to join whenever your heart is happy~ 3. I hope this doesn’t discourage you in doing anything for JoongDunk. Your concern is matter and thank you for advising it. There are still many things you can do to support them, feel free to ask me if you need some advise ❤️
