Absurdly cool! Your other videos have inspired me to learn Blender! Don't know if it helps, but I have a few nice formulas like the eq of a perfect Gaussian beam. I mean, you already have it sorted, but it's nice to see other approaches 😅

Excellent, I wonder if this can be adapted for light beams in game engines based on always facing camera 2d cones. Cheap etc, but this looks very nice visually.

The technique was first invented and developed by 1971 physics laureate Dennis Gabor. In the 1940s and 50s, Gabor discovered a way of producing images with the illusion of depth. The method was based on interference – interaction between light waves – and coherence – light waves aligned in phase with one another. Light falling on an object is captured on photographic film along with a reference beam. When only the reference beam falls on the developed film, the light is bent so that a reproduction with depth is produced. This content was created as a co-production between Nobel Prize Outreach and the BBC.

Today’s king, Queens and Prince of the day are all of the amazing people in this video AND YOU TOO! I post this video to spark the idea in people that this world is only as bad as we allow it to be! I refuse to allow media and politicians to shape my view of my fellow man! I choose to be a light in this world and try my best each day to make at least one persons day better! And if we all do that we can change this world and make it to be the amazing place it should and could be! To every one of you watching this video just know you are a light in this world and it is time you let it shine and possibly relight the spark in others! You are amazing and special just the way you are so please never dim your light because others say it’s too bright because your light might be shining the path out of the darkness for somebody right now!
