I can’t express how refreshing it is hearing Jeter talk and handle situations man. Like night and day from the current team.

This is what accountability sounds like, that man was a real team Captain. He didn't sugar coat struggles as "a couple of bumps in the road".

Jeter is exactly what this team needs right now. Need a guy that understands taking accountability and is willing to own it but still level headed and logical about what you need to do to improve. Can't be delusional about your weaknesses. This organization needs a real wake up call. This is not how winners talk.

Jeter was the perfect captain. Those teams were so good, so fundamentally sound, that it skewed the expectations for fans. There will never be a team again like the 1996-2009 era of homegrown players that did everything right all the time. But we compare every year to that era.

You see, not panicked just like judge, but the accountability is there, not just the basic pr stunt that judge does, I love judge but I would love if he was real with the reporters at times

God I miss him. Bring this mentality back to the clubhouse.

judge and boone could never say something like this because they are soft and don’t have a winner mentality

#2 acknowledged player ownership of their slump. Something the mgr of this team never does... ”we need to play better baseball…that’s the attitude the 2025 Yankees need to have” “shut up & play”

But wait... he smirks and smiles during a rough stretch? Gasp. You mean to tell me that every face of the Yankees has always been trained to do this since the beginning of time? Watched Mattingly do it. Jeter did it. Judge does it. You give the media scraps. Nothing more.
