We need less focus on daddy government and more focus on ourselves and what WE are doing. Black Wall Street is a perfect example of this. Today in America, around 85-90% of your life is based on YOU and what YOU do. Not the government. I love this video. This is why you do difficult things in front of your kids. They need to see what it's like to set a goal, to work for that goal, and to achieve it. As dads we should always strive to be getting better. Physically, mentally, financially, emotionally, spiritually. It's a lifelong journey which necessarily comes with struggle. And some of those struggles are meant to be private. But most of them don't need to be private. And they can actually serve as powerful lessons. So a reminder for myself as much as anyone else reading this: Don't shy away from showing your work. Talk about it. Talk about why it's important. Talk about where you're at now. Talk about what it took to get there, and talk about what's next. (Also check out the end of the video, which made me laugh out loud)
