@10DowningStreet Interesting. The remembrance day is about remembering the SACRIFICE of our soldiers. The soldiers who lost their lives fighting against fascism and genocide. THIS government SUPPORTS genocide. What's to remember then? You seem to have forgotten.

Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On March 29, 1973, the last American combat troops came home from Vietnam. More than 2.7 million Americans put on the uniform, crossed an ocean, and fought for the flag. 58,220 of them paid the ultimate sacrifice. Congress designated this day as National Vietnam War Veterans Day as a permanent promise that America would never forget their service to our country. To every Vietnam veteran and Gold Star family, our nation thanks you.

Earlier today, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and his family helped wash the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We will never forget the honor, courage, and sacrifice of those who served our great Nation. Thank you to US Department of the Interior Veterans Affairs and National Park Service for helping preserve the legacy of America’s Vietnam veterans.

This Memorial Day, don’t thank a Veteran, it’s not for them. We honor and thank them on Veteran’s Day. Memorial Day is for our husbands and wives, our brothers and sisters, our moms and dads, our aunts and uncles, our sons and daughters, our friends who didn’t make it home, and to those who did but lost the battle within themselves. Honor them. And to me, it’s not Happy Memorial Day, for those of us remembering our fallen family and friends, there is nothing happy about it. It’s a time for honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Be careful, be smart, and remember the ones who gave their lives so you could party so freely.
