I would like to highlight that women in Afghanistan are the frontline defenders of human rights. They are not only fighting for their own rights but for everyone’s basic rights and an equal future.

TORIES TO FORCE VOTE TO DISAPPLY THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT IN IMMIGRATION CASES Human rights are universal - if we start stripping away basic human rights from any section of society then none of us has rights – just privileges that can be taken away by people in power when they want

Humanitarian Appeal: The Rights of the Palestinian People and Why Silence Is Not an Option I speak about the painful reality faced by the people of Gaza, and I reject the stereotypical image that portrays us as superheroes capable of enduring everything. I affirm that the people of Gaza are ordinary human beings who deserve peace, safety, and basic human rights. I call on the international community not to stop speaking about Gaza and not to turn a blind eye to reality, because silence means complicity in this injustice. Repost plz

Admiral Robert Harward who grew up in Iran discusses what the country was like before radical Islam took over: "The Iranian people know what human rights are. They know what freedoms are. They want change and we have the opportunity to support them in a long overdue fashion." "People forget what this is all about. This is about basic human rights that the Iranian people have been denied for almost five decades now." "The Shah was very progressive. He had implemented human rights. He implemented women's rights. He implemented land reform. He had moved them into the twenty-first century. Women wore mini-skirts. There was casinos. There was skiing. It was very active. You could travel anywhere." "The whole region was pretty stable and peaceful and to see that all shattered with the Islamic revolution that came to power in '79 is just painful but now we have the opportunity to correct that."

The women of Iran are waging a struggle for freedom, dignity and their fundamental human rights. What we see in Iran today is what happens when the state becomes an instrument of control over the people and violates its own purpose, says Romanian Senator Cristina Dumitrescu.

Human rights are above politics. It doesn’t matter which party you support or what side you’re on. Basic human rights are not negotiable. Party, ideology, and personal opinions come second to people’s fundamental rights. United we stand. Divided we fall.

Trump's oil blockade has exponentially worsened the human rights crisis in Cuba. The Cuban people are facing frequent blackouts. They lack access to basic needs like food and medicine. We must break the blockade and ensure human rights for the people of Cuba.

20 years after its creation, the Human Rights Council meets at a time of growing pushback. Attacks on women’s rights are early warning signs that all human rights are at risk. But human rights are not optional. They are foundational to the UN. Without human rights there can be no peace, no security and no sustainable development. Defending them is the job of all of us. Everywhere.

🚨🇮🇷 THOUSANDS DEAD IN IRAN: WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? Protesters in Iran are getting slaughtered, with videos showing actual body bags in the streets, and the regime’s not even pretending to hide it. And yet... nothing has been done to end this. Iranians are getting killed for asking for basic rights, so this isn’t about picking sides, it’s about consistency. If you say you care about human rights, then this is when it matters. Source: Visegrád 24
