People getting worked up about a flag tells me they don’t do butt stuff.

The new flag is great from like a technical flag perspective. The issue is people want it to be a Minnesota personality indicator and not a useful flag design, which are two different things (and I voted for laser loon just to be clear)

The design of the new one is objectively better. Not a fan of the aqua blue color, but the flag itself is an improvement

But I do love the new flag, it's great.

This is a real bad case of "both-sidesism. No new flag is going to appeal to everyone's aesthetic taste but the new flag looks like a flag and has representations of the state (outline, northstar found in the capitol). You wanting something different doesn't make it bad.

The reactionary conservative Somali flag conspiracy is far dumber of an opinion without any question whatsoever I think the flag has become popular in liberal circles not out of love of design, but in many cases, in reaction to the utter nonsensical takes from the right

I objectively 80% like it (and it is a huge improvement), but I HATE that right now it is the DFL flag. Here in Brainerd, I might as well get one of those "all love is love" yard signs and get my house egged. I'm looking for a NAZ REID flag.
