Let's set the record straight: Congress has never conditioned disaster aid. It’s immoral and un-American for Congressional Republicans to use the pain and suffering of disaster victims to try to jam through their political priorities.

@tedlieu Ted, don't preach to us about immoral behavior, You left the residents of North Carolina to freeze to death because they're NOT YOUR KIND OF AMERICAN.

🐂💩we saw what fema did to Trump supporters in FL and NC!!! So that’s another lie! @GavinNewsom has wasted billions in CA and there needs to be oversight to prevent him from pissing away the federal dollars meant to go for the citizens of CA and not illlegals or other stupid 💩

A president has never offered preemptive pardons before either. If Democrats can set new precedent, why can't Republicans??

North Carolina. Did you forget because America hasn’t

Uh huh. Oh - WE KNOW. The migrants were NEVER in "any danger" of losing funding. AMERICAN NORTH CAROLINA HURRICANE VICTIMS? NOT SO MUCH. Do you EVER get tired of LYING?!! NC "DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT" WHY?! 🤬👇

California is too corrupt, can’t be trusted they would use the money to help fire victims.

Ted, find the $24 billion CA can’t account for on homeless and the $20 billion scammed from the EDD and then let’s talk. The conditions are not designed to prevent aid from reaching the fire victims they’re to prevent a corrupt and incompetent governor from directing funds away from the victims.

No but FEMA did, specifically in Western North Carolina and Florida. No One believes your pearl clutching double standard bullshit anymore.

talks about morality but let's not forget his own track record. While he lectures us about disaster aid, his district remains in disarray with little to show for his promises. It's easy to moralize when you're not held accountable for your own failures. Before accusing others of using disaster for political gain, maybe Rep. Lieu should look at how his district continues to struggle under his leadership. Conditioning disaster aid? Perhaps it's time to condition it on effective governance, something lacking in Lieu's district. #AccountabilityMatters #DisasterAid #LeadershipFailure
