Let’s stop normalising racism in the women’s game

The amount of comments on her 'apology' video saying stuff like "It's ok, you have nothing to apologise for" was infuriating!

I think that’s what’s so upsetting about the situation. Because none of them are people of colour

Today, we remember Reyhaneh Jabbari, a 26-year-old Iranian woman EXECUTED for defending herself against RAPE. Imagine facing death simply for saying "No"! Western women, stand with us in amplifying Reyhaneh’s voice and all women in Iran who risk everything for their dignity and rights. #ReyhanehJabbari #WomanLifeFreedom

Well said, Miriam. It's disappointing when it's casually brushed off as harmless, too.

Really disappointing as an Arsenal fan who travelled up and down the country as an away fan. It’s not who we are; or at least not who we’re supposed to be…Is there a different demographic among the women’s fan base?

@heptaviews Expose her, 👍🏾 but not only her at least 60% of the people on her comment section are supporting her and normalising it, it’s very disturbing

Banter has become toxic in the women's game I'm afraid. Women's game was once a refreshing change from the men's game. Took my niece & daughter to CFC v Arsenal at the Bridge this season and the racist Irish taunts aimed at McCabe by three fellow CFC fans was appalling

Thank you for posting this, and the apology video she posted after wasn’t even an apology it was just a deflection, it shouldn’t be down to you to educate these people they should now better and they knew how that video was going to come across

Again finding Quran recitation funny is neither racist or islamophobic. Islam is not a race, there are many white Muslims and laughing at a religion isn’t islamophobic. And why is a taxi driver playing Quran in the first place? 😏😏😏

Yes, Mim! 🗣️

Spot on couldn’t have put it better myself 👊🏽
