I agree with everything here but I really think you're talking to ghosts 😂 other than a few random commenters I haven't seen anyone complain about its removal, most people are using their brain and knew it would be removed eventually.

Great video, although I think you missed an opportunity to talk about how the state of sot interactions and widespread running popularized it, and how the addition of some chase mechanics would solve the issue and keep chasers happy, while keeping things accessible to all players

Oh, a video on that very subject is coming!

You're clearly jealous of our skilled and clever use of game mechanics and movement tech to outskill our opponents with nothing but pure skill

I know a few pirates who only use it on solo sloop HG for runners which I could agree with. HG needs a revisit if exploitin' has to be ye win scenario.

My issue is that ladder launching is done 9/10 to catch up to a boat running away. Nothing to do with boarding strategies or naval, just the inability to do anything but sail behind them and hope they aren't on top of sail management. Patching it leaves no real counter to running

Me and my duo would use this all the time to catch people if they ran with absolutely no plan or attempts to do anything, but atleast we are the people who ok and me personally I am genuinely happy it is being patched despite me actively using it.

If someone flees and doesn't want to engage in combat, the fight will be dull and unrewarding - just a tedious chase for some low-tier loot and a screaming child. I have a strict 10-minute rule; if I'm still chasing after that, I'll disengage and seek out a more thrilling battle instead. My stance is that an unwilling opponent makes for a decidedly unfun fight.

There's nothing sweeter than seeing angry exploit users in replies and comment sections. ❤️ Excellent video, Falcore.

I will miss this exploit immensely lmao, the encounters will never not be funny
