Reservations are a compensation against lack of inherited social, cultural and political capital. They should continue till there is parity in these metrics. If you think money can solve these problems. Let's give people lump sum money for historical marginalization.

One more. Once the reservation is given, the aadhar database should clearly mark it against that person. And further decisions can be based on it going forward (his next of kin, how he did etc). From that point "caste" will just be data. It needs a complete end to end solution.

We had varna system.Caste is Portugal import for divide & rule 2. Introducing a lower entry barrier into a very high demanding courses/ profession is real social injustice. That causes stress. 3. Would our politicians want a commando with relaxed entry barrier in their security?

Why is there a whopping 10% quota for general category students? Why are there religious minority institutions admitting students from respective minorities who cant find admissions elsewhere? Why are admissions allowed under management quota in exchange of donations in private education institutions? Also why all chancellors to universities have to be approved by anti-hindu RSS? Why are you not slapping yourself?
