Let’s talk car lift. New update online now.

I have a suggestion on how to do your lift, which is based upon a Lightsaber design I have had for some years. Unlike the @DisneyParks one, in my testing it’s retractable and for the profile of your pool where the lift would be situated, there would be enough space. But I don’t want to share the details publicly. If I am able I will send you a message with the details, and if @Disney wants to team up, to make it into a lightsaber, that would be cool to discuss. I do feel it’s the cool that you would want for this project.

It's too bad you couldn't do a giant single post car lift directly in the center. When it was all the way down, it could be rotated under the floor to engage or disengage so we could be used as a car lift or to raise the entire assembly.

Just rewatching your video and I have a better idea. Why don’t you like scissor lifts? As whilst its more complicated to build, you could put the arms at the end in the cavity, as crudely shown here! Or if you want a steam punk like mechanism, the Disneyland magic skyway / people mover drive mechanism, is similar to what the victorians would use, where two wheels or cogs located near the top of the shaft pull up some chains or belts, to lift up the box to reach the surface.
