@yanisvaroufakis @NoraBateson @rushkoff Really loved it as a depiction of the dynamics between the left and right hemispheres. While I enjoy metaphors, I couldn’t relate to the leviathan… not sure what would work but maybe something that can made felt the vibe of disembodiment/disconnectedness/partiality???

Our kids come first. We are in a time of deep economic anxiety. It is easy for the political agenda to be seized by demagogues who trade on our fears, rather than appeal to our hopes. How do we recall ourselves to the better angels of our natures? How can parliamentarians and citizen organisations lead public opinion, not just be led by it? Today, for the first time, we mark the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and from now on, each year, June 11 will be a day of our gratitude to the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces. Modern warfare can no longer be imagined without drones, and Ukrainian unmanned systems are operating successfully at different levels: from carrying out missions on the frontline to striking important enemy facilities hundreds of kilometers deep inside its territory. All of this is being documented, and it is thanks to the precision and skill of our operators that Russia’s losses have long exceeded 30,000 killed and wounded per month. I thank each and every person serving in the Unmanned Systems Forces, developing Ukrainian technologies, and working for the sake of our advantage on the battlefield. Thank you to everyone who is working to reduce Russia’s capabilities and strengthen our security.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that the country is exploring the option of withdrawing from the Ottawa Convention on the prohibition of anti-personnel mines due to the threat from Russia. "The starting point is that our biggest threat is Russia, and we have to respond to that threat in one way or another. We, calmly and moderately, will have a review, looking first at what our capabilities are and what our technological potential is. Thirdly, we will see what the response is, and then, from the point of view of overall security, we will see how the ground forces need to be reformed at this stage," Alexander Stubb said on the morning program of the public broadcaster Yle.

Part of our concrete proposal to the Minister, yesterday, was that he repurpose the Billions spent on SETAs into a National Youth Infrastructure and Maintenance Programme. We can instantly employ over 1 MILLION YOUNG SOUTH AFRICANS, train them, and deploy them to all 257 municipalities as Municipal Infrastructure Youth Battalions for pothole repair, road resurfacing, paving, stormwater systems, bricklaying, welding, plumbing and electrical maintenance. This is how we can convert skills development to real economic participation. This is how we convert education to employment!

Australia is shedding economic muscle mass. We are trading a best economic player oversees to appease the green activists. Energy and resources drive Australia’s competitive advantage. It is the reason we have a higher standards of living and can pay higher wages. But we are destroying our economic advantage. Australia is no longer in shape to win in the economic arena any more. We are shedding economic muscle mass. America, China, India and the Middle East are charging ahead, unleashing their oil and gas and mining resources, unburdened by green activism. Under Labor, Australia are heading onto the economic field with self inflicted injuries as our regulatory overburden, approval hurdles, green lawfare and investment deterrence continue unabated.
