‼️ BREAKING: The US is stating that economically, it makes no sense for the Liberals to walk away. And it was them, that were making last minute requests. US Trade Representative, Greer, stated that it was likely for political reasons because the Liberals have three by elections coming up. Making a deal now, would hurt Carney in the polls. I’m hearing from that it would have caused a 10% decline in support, putting the Conservatives ahead. Coincidentally (or not), Carney has set the counter tariffs for the week after the by-elections are complete.

A tax, is a tax, is a tax. The CRTC just tripled the online streaming tax from 5% to 15%, increasing the cost for consumers and putting CUSMA negotiations at risk during a critical time. This reckless decision by the CRTC is jeopardizing Canada’s ability to make a deal with the US— which Carney promised to deliver months ago. Enough is enough. The Liberals have the ability to reverse this decision. Why won’t they?
