What I always notice with politicians is that they can talk comprehensively as to why the ANC and MKP are not right for the country. But when it comes to the EFF, they really have no comprehensive explanation as to what is wrong with it. Hence they can't explain why they left it.

And let me tell you what communist dictators do. And it's never just for one day. They attack the free press. They call them the enemy of the people like Ortega does in Nicaragua. You can see it in these people. You can see it in their tweets. You can see it in their smiles.. Let’s talk about immunity, Trump gets media immunity. They let him say whatever he wants and when he messes up, they treat it like a joke and they do not give Biden a single ounce of grace.

It does not anymore. And they refuse to give that up because they love being the people who are the social justice warriors. I understand where this is coming from, but ultimately, you do not want to tell artists how to make art. “This is what they did in the Soviet Union. This is what they did in communist countries. The last place you want people making a lot of rules about how you can make your art, who you can hire to do your art — that is not what art is about. Mamdani: I think oftentimes there's a condescension that people have when they talk about young voters and finger wag and say, you should get out there and don't ask them what would it take to bring you out here? When I talk to young people, what I hear from them, they feel like the only way they can stay in the city is if they keep living with their parents or leave the state entirely. We have to make it a place where they can aspire to dream in the city and also treat them with the seriousness that they deserve because what we'll find in our young people is leadership.
