Fear filled her eyes, and the only word she could whisper was, “Wow…” I held her tightly in my arms, doing everything I could to make her feel safe. But how can a father protect his little girl when everything around them is shaking? Here, the bombardment never stops. The fear never leaves. We never know if we’ll survive the next moment.
