She’s flat out wrong about To Kill A Mockingbird. At no point is rape described or depicted in the book. But just so we’re all clear, here are some images from books that would be banned. Who wants to step up and explain to me why kids should have access to this material?

Wow. They must have some REALLY disgusting books in there.

I do believe Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin could be flagged according to state law definitions. A remarkably valuable book for young adults. Considering it’s one room and the adult/children’s sections physically touch, closing the door seems to be their best option.
