With V3, Lido expands from a single staking product into a flexible and modular staking infrastructure. stVaults unlock the freedom to mint stETH using the preferred setup: • How you stake: Clients, hardware & location • With whom: Preferred Node Operators • Terms: Custom fees & conditions • Strategy: Restaking, leverage & more

A suggested design moves from a one-size-fits-all staking offering to multiple products that could be expanded by the community, allowing more advanced strategies. V3 is a major point expanding the protocol, providing a way for stakers to express their preference in staking, a way for builders to build the products on top of stVaults, and at the same time, a way for the core protocol to remain the base layer connecting everything here.
