Lieutenant Dan is a digital creator who started a gofundme three weeks ago. He has four names: and was arrested for battering Leo/EMT with a violin. He’s already up to 20k and has accepted the mayors offer for shelter. I hate grifters.

This lady in her million dollar home mad about a dude in a piece of crap dingy boat about to potentially die in a hurricane is wild

Lieutenant Dan is on that sailboat = not grifting The only grifter I see in the situation is YOU - exploiting him for clicks

Digging up dirt on the past of anybody who goes the slightest bit viral is nasty work. This isn't the win you think it is. You look & sound like a petty f'ing NARC!!!

Well she should get her facts straight firstly, his boat is his home, he isn’t homeless. His GFM is set up by Tampa Terrance and LD doesn’t have an ID or bank account so he currently has no access to the money. He also didn’t ask for this attention or seek it out, it found him. So how about you and her Stfu until you know what you’re talking about. I hate ill-informed people who spew bs as fact. His record is irrelevant right now. Assholes.

Lol Dan risking his life for a little cheddar and online clout. 😆 Regardless I’m pulling for him. GET THAT BAG LIEUTENANT DAN. 💰💸💰

How about this…fuck you Mena Ganey. I’m thoroughly entertained by Lt. Dan. The guy never claimed to be homeless. I don’t give a fuck if he went to jail for beating up an EMT. The guy is riding out a catastrophic hurricane in a sail boat. It’s entertaining. We are all entertained. I didn’t donate to his gofundme, but I think I will now purely out of spite. You’re a cunt who’s hating for internet clout which is way worse than doing something that’s actually entertaining for internet clout.

So not some poor disabled veteran who we should all hate ourselves over mocking him?

No, he lost his leg when he hit something doing 45 mph at 16 y/o. Not a vet.

@alexstein99 I’m not giving him money or anything but I’ll gladly give clicks for the science experiment of “can a 20 footer survive a CAT 3”. Not sure what the issue here is? If he’s as bad as you say he is then why would you care what he does?

Lots of misunderstandings here. First, someone else set up the GoFundMe for him; this is not only public but well known, as the young man who did it said he did so on video. (My concern is actually making sure the funds get to the proper person.) Second, to understand the situation, you have to watch multiple videos, such as a local news broadcast. That provides the context: he’s a man with very little and is afraid to lose it. He is not an internet star. Third, internet fame means nothing if you die. I am not supportive of his choice; I think he might likely die. But the high chance of death shows what you and I ultimately agree upon: his choices are dangerous and should not be rewarded.
