Hate to break it to you but cutting the ear on your registration month doesn’t matter anymore. Cops run the whole plate even if that sticker gets stolen they know what year you registered it that scam is over.

Yup. Old as snot. Actually, I was at the printer who does for Illinois and others. It’s a specialty stock that will crack in pieces if you try to remove. The adhesive is also almost an epoxy.

Most license plate stickers have that function built in where they will fall apart when you try to take them off.

You don't need a blade to score the tags like this anymore because now the tags have your license plate number on them so the cops know. But it's better to be safe than sorry. Last carrot expired tags stolen. Stupid criminals!

It literally says to do thus on the sticker packaging. It also says to remove the old sticker so they don't peel them off together.

Life hack tips are interesting, but when they involve falsifying vehicle registration certificates, they're no longer useful tips but rather trickery. It's better to pay your taxes on time than to use tricks like this. The risks aren't worth it!
