As someone who started wearing glasses when I was 2, I can tell you there is nothing more wonderful than glasses or contacts that help you see. People with good eyesight are very blessed and don't realize how good they have it.

Whenever you feel life is unfair with you, just visit the hospital and sit quietly.

This also indicates that human brains are hardwired to see and understand our environment, meaning that such things are not the product of socialization.

My daughter was 18 months old when she got her glasses, she didn't like them when we first put them on her, when she realized she could see she lit up. Up to that point all she saw was a big blur. That was the first time she saw her daddy and me clearly. It was a wonderful day!

The people that do this for these children are true angels. Has to be a very rewarding career based on the looks on these children’s faces.

I was born near-sighted but wasn't fitted for glasses until I was grown. Anything beyond about 10 feet was fuzzy around the edges so to speak. When I got my first pair of glasses it was incredible. I know how these little ones felt.
