The largest digital camera ever built has released its first snapshots of the universe, showing stars, nebulas and galaxies. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile captured high-resolution images of the Trifid and Lagoon nebulas, thousands of light-years from Earth, and a sweeping view of a cluster of galaxies known as the Virgo Cluster.
