I don't really see the Sonic Adventure. If anything, I see Mario Odyssey and Mario Sunshine with a sprinkle of some Sonic elements here and there but the levels design doesn't look Adventure, the gameplay doesn't look Adventure, nothing about this screams Sonic Adventure to me.

Considering the character silhouette, its not hard to imagine this as a Sonic game. To the point where I have to wonder what happened to Sonic Team over the years where this game is more "Sonic" than anything we have seen from SEGA in the past decade or so. (excluding 2D Sonic)
