Well, this blew up and angered some people. I watch quite a bit of Liiga hockey, this isn't an every-game occurrence. It was a joke to loop the entire Liiga in. I love tactical hockey and Liiga has some very fun moments. Liiga is very tactical. Sometimes the pace is an issue.

Why is nobody breaking for the open ice behind this 1-4 OZ trap? Figure a home run play would keep them honest, no?

wrong, we have a "leading hockey analyst" @PetteriSihvonen who is counting these per game/period and enjoy these more than a beatiful goals. I'll get the point that if you have a control of the puck, the opponent does not score. But my god, bring pillows for the audience.

Btw, the game ended 0-0 after 65 minutes. White team won in a shootout.

Ja sitten ihmetellään miksi tästä maasta tulee vain keskinkertaisia, ala-arvoisia tai surkeita luistelijoita.

I’d take this over a neutral zone trap every day

You'd take almost 30 seconds of standing still? Listen, the Flying V was fun in the Mighty Ducks but there is no way this is a functional breakout in any league that isn't the Liiga (low pace, overly patient defending outside of the D zone).

Not to be that guy but to be that guy: there are other teams in Liiga. You can mention Tappara, Ilves, Jukurit, HIFK, Kärpät who don't build on this. But here in the clip which is fun, are two most passive teams with bad records.
