They are a company that deals with risk. They saw that the risk of fire was too high and canceled policies. It isn’t their job to protect people from fires, that’s the governments job and they failed. State Farm saw the writing on the wall and acted like an insurance company.

😆 but I don't blame them. CA has done nothing to remedy catastrophes.

State Farm is company like any other company in the United States when the government forces you to do stupid things you have to distance yourselves from those things!

The state of California wouldn’t let them raise their premiums because of the risk. That is why they dropped their coverage in CA. Had the state allowed them to raise their rates those people would still have had coverage.

Completely support State Farm's decision. Gave them no choice.

It’s not State Farm’s fault Newsom made it impossible to do business in California.

What Grok says about State Farm. *State Farm insurance decided to pull out of California a few months before the current wildfires due to a combination of factors related to financial sustainability and risk management: -State Farm cited increasing wildfire risks as a primary reason for not renewing approximately 72,000 home and apartment insurance policies in California in 2024. The company specifically mentioned "catastrophe exposure" as a key factor in its decision to not renew policies in areas deemed too risky due to wildfires or earthquake hazards.

That’s on CA. CA wouldn’t let them raise rates and didn’t take care of forest management and State Farm said then we are out. A fire was eminent.

Gavin should've been drinking wine while driving his Bentley past the burning peasants.
