Like anything, irrigation systems have a lifespan and eventually need to be replaced. A new system is expensive and doesn't have much "wow factor" for golfers, but the investment will improve course conditions, water use, and operational efficiency for years to come 👇

If you can get water on a golf course And get water off a golf course you have every chance of achieving what members expect. 👍

There has been discussion about merging our water agencies, but each one has a different role and responsibility. The Water Resources Authority protects and regulates our water sources. The National Irrigation Commission manages irrigation water for farming. Rural Water Supply Limited builds community water systems to improve access in areas outside the utility network. Each organisation serves a specific purpose, and it is important that we understand those roles when discussing the future of Jamaica’s water sector.

There is a major concern about Data Centers that are using closed loop cooling systems that’s not being talked about There are a lot of chemicals being put into the water used in these systems. That water has to be flushed out every couple years Whistleblowers say that chemical water is being pushed into our streams and waterways and may have extremely limited cleaning requirements depending on state “I'm getting whistleblowers on the inside saying that they're taking all that waste and they're just running it down into the sewers. They're wanting to go to more closed cooling systems, and in those closed cooling systems, you still are gonna be using chemicals. There's no regulations about every 2 years when you have to clean out a cooling closed system, where are you gonna throw all of those chemicals?” “Taking polluted water and running it through system and dumping it into a river and it flows downstream, that will have a natural dilution, would resolve the issue, and it's not. Even if it's a closed cooling system, that water that's recycling in there, eventually they have to clean those systems. They have to release that water. And are there any regulations to look at what chemicals aren't in that water before we release it into the environment and just create another pollution issue?” “Right now it's a free-for-all out there.” It’s not a complete free for all, it depends on the states and general federal regulations. WOW 🚨 American is putting in a new water system and asked her water company to test for hormones in the tap water, she says the state WON’T ALLOW IT “I needed to call a water company to get my water tested before I put in a reverse osmosis system in my house. And they were saying the basic things that they tested for, you know, like lead and chlorine and bullsh*t. And I said, okay, well can you test for hormones as well? Oh, the state doesn't allow us to do that. Excuse me. What? There's a difference between, oh, we're unable to test for that and the state will not allow us to do it.”

Because most golf courses, esp so in drought prone areas are designed to maximize water storage and are already strictly rate limited on how much public water they can use. They also become safe havens for wildlife in metropolitan areas. TPC Las Vegas is a great example. The entire course was designed with industry best management practices using natural drainage areas to collect stormwater runoff into the various ponds and it is then used later for irrigation across the course. Most of the time they do not even need their allowable amount of city water. Golf course superintendents are some of the most conservation conscious people I know and are using best management practices not only to save the course money in irrigation costs, but it also creates a naturally beautiful landscape that wildlife enjoy and golfers want to experience. Some raw video I took from a commercial video project I shot there few years back.

I have no idea what these giant circles in the desert must be. Google tells me they’re for “circle irrigation” but it’s near impossible to grow anything in the desert. The soil in Las Vegas inhospitable, the heat in Nevada is unbearable and getting water out that far has to be expensive. Any ideas? #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #vegaslocal #travel

So I build machines for a living. (Video attached) Simple to complex machines and robotics for clients who need a bespoke solution that doesn't exist. Custom automation to fit their needs. It was my career that turned me away from being Atheist. I wanted to be Atheist at one point. I tried. But my career wouldn't allow my brain to accept it. Why? Because I realized our own body is an organic machine. Light years more complex than the machines I build, but the same systems. We have a processor and sensors that can hear like microphones, see like cameras, feel like pressure transducers, taste like PH probes, and smell like chemical analyzers. We have a hydraulic system that pumps blood at a constant pressure. We have air transport devices. We have 2 seperate waste management systems and an extremely complex cascading PID system to balance all sorts of chemical processes. We have a preventive maintenance system that regenerates and rejuvenates the other systems. And all of this is packaged on a perfect structural frame to allow us to move with ease.... AND thr most vital of the systems we have, come in twos for a redundant backup. We are a machine. And just like my machines have an engineer, so do we. You'll never convince me otherwise. Now, when it comes to faith, we can be on all sorts of sides. I have faith that Christ was who he said he is. That he was who the deciples said he was. That is what I believe... But what I KNOW, is that we have a creator and we are of superior mechanical design by a master creator. Period.
