#Syria: Imad Ashrafani, who won the parliamentary seat for Zabadani (W. #Damascus), is a former member of the White Helmets who survived the siege imposed by Regime and Hezbollah. He rescued civilians, serving as an ambulance driver during the most critical moments the town faced. Lawyer, he was also an active member of the local revolutionary council. He was later displaced to #Idlib, before returning to his hometown following Assad's fall. In the video below, he salutes his former colleagues following his victory.
