What happened to Sentinel in the alt ending?

He is still killed but Megatron agrees to leave and cease the attack and Megatron and Optimus agree to a truce. The novelization has that ending. It was changed last minute because Amazon revealed it in previews

I always thought that was too quick for Megatron. I prefer a version where he fought a little but Prime still beat him up. Just a longer fight scene would've been nice.
