It's interesting, since AI music generation went mainstream, I have become so sensitive to- (and intolerant of!) it that I've subconsciously (I suppose) learned to discriminate autotune and any sort of vocoding or processing that I can't even stand a lot of music from last decade or so anymore. (Okay I was never too fond of any sort of pop music to begin with... but...) It's just a deep intuitive revulsion, and this coming from me who was completely blown off my feet and fixated on AI music generation for a few months, just over a year ago. It's, I suppose, an aversion to fakeness. If something is fake, I don't want it to pretend to be real, or gaslight me into questioning myself... Then there's the "techies like me"- and AI lyrics' generation that just makes too much sense, both "fake realness" and "too many words" just make the cognitive load for something menial, too much. Give me lyrics that takes years to become aware of, wrapped in a melody that's so enchanting you tune out the lyrics for the first few years in the first place... any day. Okay I have no doubt AI will eventually get good at that at some point... and it won't be "artificial" anymore. At this point I'm lucky to find one such song a year on average.... but maybe this is also a case of if there were more, it would raise the noise floor and the signal would be diminished...

Why would you run autotune on this cuz this sure ain’t what sounds like on the original video (she sounds great, just not like this)
