What a wonderful memory of Paul. He was what you said, he stood up for the underdogs. I've always thought that deep down, he was still that social worker, for the rest of his life, that always cared for people and animals.

And he would have wanted you to add 'And he couldn't stand the shower of barstewards opposite' He actually said it on live TV a few times, RIP Paul.

What a lovely tribute Chris 🥰🥰 I met Paul several times and “Buster” when he was the child catcher in Chitty at the Palladium. A wonderfully kind and charismatic man. This will always be my favourite Lily sketch. Shanghai Lil with Michael Ball ❤️

Raab then goes onto getting his name wrong? Perhaps the only gay man he ever saw on tv was in the 70’s. Larry O’Grayson or somebody. It made him feel sweaty and weird, his vein popping (on his forehead) & he was determined that ‘sort of thing’ wouldn’t be on tv when he became PM

Lovely words Chris. I won't bother commenting on Raabs response 🙄

*He* entertained many … …and never pretended he was female!

Paul O’Grady represented the best of the British - humour, inclusivity, kindness, compassion and a huge animal lover. #PaulOGradyRIP

@DominicRaab is a thoroughly insincere individual. Following your tribute by getting Paul O'Grady's name wrong, then starting into a piece about "wokery" when Paul was one of the most compassionate, caring people in showbiz & had no time for Tory toxic divisiveness is really low.

He was ....Shame the Labour Party is back to the one that Paul O'Grady was describing here and the people that are running it

Just so you know it wasn't mutual. He described you Thatcherite saboteurs as a "wishy washy lot".
