Did you know that the FMCSA and lobbyists have been trying to pass a speed limiter law where we are limited to 65mph? Sounds great, right? The problem is that not everyone is hauling the same weight in their trailer, which means that the lighter truck can pull hills a bit quicker. Back and forth we go. The insurance companies have gotten involved along with lobbyists to inact speed limiters. In my thoughts, speed limiters are good with companies that have a low safety score. Speed limiters are bad for us owner operators who have millions of miles of experience. What folks need to remember is that the interstate was created by Eisenhower to transport military and goods more quickly. So, before you get your panties in a bunch, Truckers pay IFTA taxes on every mile that we drive and we deserve to be there because it was designed for us. Nit your convenience. Even though you benefit from it. Now, if you don't like trucks on the interstate, go research why the interstate system was built in the first place. After that, quit being a crying "Karen."
