Retro TEKKEN vid of the day No. 9 🕹️ TEKKEN 5: Dark Resurrection (ARC) 🇯🇵 Gunsou Cup ~ Battle for Pride ~ 📽️ Originally published by Enterbrain/Arcadia. Edited by Nakatsu. English Subtitles by n0pants/MarkMan In January of 2007, a battle between some of the world's greatest TEKKEN talent was held in Japan's game center Saitama POPY. This legendary battle would go down in history as one of the greatest days of competitive TEKKEN. Watch the build up through earlier battles between S. Korea and Japan in TEKKEN 5's earlier revisions. The history, legacy and story from various players come full circle in an epic showdown between the strongest fighters at Gunsou Cup. The Gunsou Cup featured a 5 VS 5 team tournament format in a new era of TEKKEN. At the time this coincided with the arcade version of Namco's TEKKEN 5: Dark Resurrection. This story surrounds the best players from Japan's Kansai region, led by the fabled Mainstreet Ryu and his team, JAPANESE FINAL WEAPON. Mainstreet Ryu's sights were set on South Korea's strongest player at the time, Qudans. Qudans and 4 other S. Korean TEKKEN all-stars rounded out TEAM KOREA as the BATTLE FOR PRIDE was set. In 2019, the latest entry in the series (at the time), TEKKEN 7 -- is beloved by many around the world. It is undoubtedly the most popular TEKKEN title in terms of viewership and competition. In 2017, ten years after the Gunsou Cup, Qudans, now a living legend is crowned TEKKEN World Tour Champion. This is a rare look into the legacy and legend of yesteryear that helped develop what global TEKKEN competition is today. Please enjoy it. Originally recorded and distributed by Enterbrain's Tougeki Damashi MAX as a DVD release in 2007. This is a fan translation and not meant to be sold, reproduced or redistributed in any way. Disappointed to say that in my 10th year of commentating competitive Tekken 7, I will not be involved in its conclusion at the TWT Finals. Telling the story of these players and building this community has taken up the majority of my life this past decade so I put together a video to reflect back on it (👇bottom of this post). I've been telling this story since Evo 2015 with Nobi and AO in the grand finals of Evo. We saw the Echo Fox boys dominate the scene, then the Knee/JDCR era, to Qudans returning to win the first TWT (Hei-ha-chi! Hei-ha-chi!). In 2018 we had the Knee/Qudans era which concluded with Rangchu winning the TWT Finals. Then in 2019 Arslan Ash flipped the planet upside down at Evo Japan, Ryan Hart owned me up, Pakistan showed up through the rest of that year, and we saw Chikurin become TWT Champ. Then came Leroy Japan 2020 (shoutouts to Book) before the pandemic online era, online Evo's, Tekken Online Challenges and the creation of ICFC. More recently Arslan closed out his 4 Evo Titles, we witnessed the Knee/Arslan era, and now its the Atif Butt era, with him winning TWT Finals and closing out Gamers8 this year. So many players, new and old, will converge on New Orleans this weekend to conclude this story of what I believe has been THE BEST ARC IN FGC HISTORY. Personally, this past decade has been an incredible journey that I will forever be grateful for. I got to travel the world (Amsterdam, Japan, France, Australia, Philippines, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Pakistan, Canada, Chile, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Germany) with my friends and make new friends across the globe. I helped start UYU and was their VP as we gave opportunities to players like Jeondding, LowHigh, Yuyu, Qudans etc. Jinhee and Drew showed so much love to the FGC during that time and I'm grateful they gave me the opportunity to guide the team internally. This past weekend the ICFC Championship was my last commentary for Tekken 7, marking a bittersweet end for my Tekken 7 commentary journey. The beginnings of ICFC were notable though. By 2018, Wednesday Night Fights Tekken 7 was dying. We were down to 4 entrants and there was no stream. I asked Valle if I could take over the Tekken 7 portion, I put together all the equipment, setup the stream going forward and we grew to 64 man weeklies offline. It COULD NOT have been done without Tanman, #BeeLDeaL | B:L, Billy, Suiken, Michael Y. Kwon and 上原 rickstah, who all held it down once the ball got rolling. Then the pandemic hit, we pivoted to online tournaments and ran everything ourselves. We had expanded our local to the entire west coast and after T7's netcode update, the entire USA. 10/0 reached out with the idea of taking what we had built and expanding it to EU and Asia. It was a difficult decision to step away from WNF, but I moved our tournaments to 10/0, ICFC began, and we now have a new generation of top players built ONLINE. That was unprecedented for Tekken. A HUGE thank you to all of the community for participating in these events and donating to the prize pools. Without the players and the community, none of this would exist. Never forget that. Big thanks to Chris Ceg and 10/0 for expanding what we started and pushing it to new heights. I have to also thank Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray for the amazing game that is TEKKEN 7. HUGE thanks to Aris for everything hes done for TEKKEN 7 and LUYG. To Mirage | Spag for connecting all of us more closely to the EU (NA>) and Pakistan (NA<) scenes. To Mark Julio 『マークマン』 for always being inner circle⭕️, pushing Tekken forward, and being an amazing co-commentator throughout these years. And of course Steve Scott for being my main duo these last few years. We got into a good ass groove the last 5 years and its always a damn good time. Lastly, 10 years is a long time. When I started this, I was a pro player, I was in a long relationship, I had a part time job, I had all black hair and minimal wrinkles. None of those things are true anymore😆. I know that commentary as a profession is hugely unpredictable and unreliable, so I honestly have NO CLUE what the future holds. One thing I know for certain though, is that I love TEKKEN. I've NEVER been a shill, but dealing with this has made me feel like one these past 4 months. So THE BIGGEST THANK YOU I want to give is to everyone who has stood by me, supported me, and never doubted me for a moment this decade. I'm sad I didn't get one last "FINAL FINAL round" at the FINAL FINALS for Tekken 7, but I'm sure everyone at the finals will say it for me anyway. I love you guys! Have fun in New Orleans

🚨EXPOSING Andrew Tate's Alleged Decade-Long Pattern of Strangling Women At least 10 women, from 2012 to 2025, across the UK, Romania, and the United States, have gone to police alleging the same specific conduct: that Andrew Tate strangled them. Including the UK's additional reported allegations that Andrew Tate choked women. Many of these alleged incidents are said to have occurred during sex. Some women allege they were choked until they lost consciousness, only to wake up and find Andrew Tate was still having sex with them while they were unconscious. Several women allegedly suffered similar injuries, including: -Burst blood vessels in their eyes -Concussions -Other injuries allegedly consistent with strangulation One of the alleged victims in Romania was 15 years old. Their relationship allegedly began in 2020, when Andrew Tate was in his mid-30s. She testified: "When we had sex, Andrew was often aggressive with me, in the sense that he beat me with a belt, choked me. It happened that once he choked me until I fainted, circumstances in which he woke me up by slapping me in the face." She also said: "You take her so young, you fool her and make her your slave? Fuck you... And, anyway, think about it, bro, when I was little, I had sex with him. God, he put his dick in my ass and I was telling him, stop, bro. He choked me, fuck, when I was little." Evidence cited includes: -Alleged victim testimony -Medical certificates -Photographs documenting injuries -Messages and voice notes allegedly sent by Andrew Tate to one complainant that prosecutors allege are incriminating The allegations predate Andrew Tate's rise to global fame and span more than a decade. They come from women in multiple countries who, did not know one another, and in some cases did not even speak the same language, yet describe strikingly similar allegations. It's important to note that this is only examining allegations that Andrew Tate strangled women. It does not account for the separate allegations of rape, human trafficking, and other offences.

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Battleship Potemkin, which took place at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow on December 21, 1925. Sergei Eisenstein on the film's premiere: "APPLAUSE LIKE THE CRACKLE of rifle shots echoes through the semi-circular corridors of the Bolshoi Theater. I am in the corridor, nervous not only about the fate of Potemkin, but about its . . . spittle. For, indeed, its last reel revolved around spittle. Climbing higher and higher, from the orchestra to the dress circle, from the mezzanine to the balcony, driven upward by the growth of excitement, I hungrily and anxiously drink in every sound of the applause. Then, like a thunderclap, it bursts from the entire audience. One — that is the scene with the red flag. Two — that’s the one of the guns of the Potemkin firing at the generals' headquarters in reply to the Odessa massacre. I continue to wander through the empty concentric halls. Not a soul. Even the ushers have gone inside, a most unusual event: here, in the State Academic Bolshoi Theater, for the first time in its history — the showing of a film. Now it will come — the third burst of applause as the Potemkin passes through the admiral’s squadron “flying the victorious flag of freedom." I am suddenly in a cold sweat. All other sensations are shocked out of existence. Spittle! My God! Spittle! Spittle! In the last-minute rush in the cutting room we had forgotten to splice the final reel. The sequence of the meeting of the squadron was made up of extremely short cuts. To make sure they would not be lost or get mixed up, I stuck them together by licking them with my tongue, and gave the reel to the assistant to splice. Then I took a look at the first version. Tore it apart. Looked at the second. Tore and changed that one, too. Suddenly I remember that my assistant did not have the time to splice up the final version. And by now it is out of the can and being threaded for projection. Film cement has not been substituted for spittle. Yes — I can tell by the music — the last reel has already started! How can I prevent disaster? In utter confusion I race through the semicircular hallways and spiral down the corkscrew stairs, possessed by a single desire, to bury myself in the cellar, in the earth, in oblivion. The break will come at any moment now! Bits of film will come flying out of the projector. The finale of the picture will be choked off, murdered. But then . . . unbelievable . . . a miracle!! The spittle holds! The film races through to the very end! Back in the cutting room we couldn't believe our own eyes — in our hands the short cuts came apart without the slightest effort, and yet they had been held together by some magic force as they ran, in one whole piece, through the projector . . ." — "Immoral Memories: An Autobiography" by Sergei Eisenstein, translated by Herbert Marshall, published in 1983

Sally Ann Howes as Truly Scrumptious singing “Doll on a Music Box” in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968). “Doll on a Music Box” is a song originally from the 1968 musical film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It was subsequently performed in the 2002/2005 stage musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as well. It is both a musical and lyrical counterpoint to the more free flowing, legato song, “Truly Scrumptious”. In the song, Truly is disguised as a wind up music box doll, metaphorically and actually on a pedestal. In the song, Truly sings about herself and her rigid nature, all behind the mask of the “doll” she is portraying. In the motion picture, the part of Truly was played by actress Sally Ann Howes. In the stage musical version, the part was re-created by 19-year-old London actress, Emma Williams. In 2005, the Broadway “Truly” was portrayed by actress Erin Dilly, who was nominated for a Tony Award that year for the role. Wardrobe Truly Scrumptious sports a dirndl in this sequence consisting of a forest green satin bodice (trimmed in black velvet and accented with stitched crisscrossed red ribbon straps down the front and gold buttons), white blouse (the sleeves are double puffed done in delicate white silk satin; there are three yellow ribbons stitched to the sleeves for added detail; the collar is also trimmed in lace), full, printed (in the shape of gold diamonds) cotton red skirt (a tea length petticoat) and white, cotton apron (with a German inspired floral motif). Truly also wore white tights and black pumps (with a silver buckle near the toe area) with a Tyrolean hairstyle incorporating both pigtails and braids. “Doll on a Music Box” was written by Robert B. Sherman & Richard M. Sherman.

DAVID BOWIE ‘HEROES’ - THE POWERFUL & EVOCATIVE FINAL SONG IN THE SERIES FINALE OF NETFLIX’S STRANGER THINGS ‘HEROES’ IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM NOW ON PARLOPHONE: WATCH THE HD REMASTERED 'HEROES' VIDEO: New Year’s Day saw the broadcast on Netflix of the final episode of the phenomenally successful and critically lauded stranger things . Ten years in the making, the final song of the entire series is ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie, one of music’s boldest innovators and most enduring visionaries. After the final scene of Series 5 Episode 8 plays, the show doesn’t jump to its typical credits sequence. Instead, it rolls into a nostalgic animated end-credits segment and lets Bowie’s “Heroes” play all the way through. The decision to end the show with the iconic track was suggested by actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the show and records music under the name Djo. Speaking to Netflix Tudum, the show’s co-creator Ross Duffer says, “Once Joe said that, we immediately knew that was the right song to end the show on because it is, in some ways, an anthem for Stranger Things. To use the original Bowie version just felt right and fitting for the conclusion.” Initially released in September 1977, ‘Heroes’ is the title track of the second instalment of Bowie’s hugely influential ‘Berlin Trilogy’ of albums produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and featuring Brian Eno. Recorded at Hansa Studios in West Berlin, which was situated only 150 metres away from the Berlin Wall and co-written with Eno, the song references the East German soldiers that could be seen from the studio’s control room and a love affair between a couple kissing in the shadow of the Wall. The song, which has become an iconic anthem, was recorded by Bowie in English, German and French and has been covered by artists such as Oasis, Prince, Coldplay, Yungblud, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, Blondie, Neil Finn, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Bon Jovi, Motorhead, Miley Cyrus, Aurora, Moby, David Byrne & St Vincent and The Wallflowers, who took it into the US top 10. A decade after the 1977 release of ‘Heroes’, Bowie brought his Glass Spider Tour to Berlin during the Summer of 1987. He performed as part of a series of shows at the Reichstag, a poignant symbol of the divided city just metres away from the Wall. The concert was held near the border, where many East Berliners crowded along to listen to music forbidden by the Soviet government, allowing the two halves of the city to hear the same show, with ‘Heroes’ as the emotional highlight for both sides. Bowie later remarked, “We kind of heard that a few of the East Berliners might actually get the chance to hear the thing, but we didn’t realise in what numbers they would. And there were thousands on the other side that had come close to the wall. So it was like a double concert where the wall was the division. And we would hear them cheering and singing along from the other side. God, even now I get choked up. It was breaking my heart. I’d never done anything like that in my life, and I guess I never will again.” During the shows, the East German authorities cracked down on the fans, attacking them with water cannons and arresting hundreds. The shows helped change the mood around the Wall, which had stood for over a quarter of a century, and was now seen with renewed anger. Within two years, the Wall came down, and it has long been believed that the Concerts For Berlin were a turning point in the East. When Bowie died in 2016, the German Foreign Office confirmed as much by posting a live version of ‘Heroes’ on social media and declaring, ‘Good-bye David Bowie. You are now among #Heroes. Thank you for helping bring down the #wall’ #StrangerThings #BowieHeroes

Grok Imagine, right now is in my opinion best and fastest ai video generator for the masses. sure, is not perfect, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Maybe ppl from xai or Elon Musk would look on our posts and suggestions for future improvements. What is a must (for advanced users into ai video generation, been doing this game since 2022) .. 1. for longer movies , we need an option to organize like a project style, and to be able to add main prompts like the niche of the current movie, the character description and to be able to select a custom seed so we can have consistency of the characters. 2. we have now 6 seconds generation ( saw Elon promised 15 seconds soon).. BUT when we generate long movies, we end up with lots of scenes... what grok needs for the same project of the movie, would be a First Frame -Last frame scene interpolation between the scenes (take last frame from scene one, and first frame from scene 2 and generate a mid scene that would merge scene 1 with scene 2 .. and continue for the other scenes (this could be very easy implemented with some python lines of code , like before spitting final video, select all scenes.. extract frames etc etc etc etc.. simple af, when u have all scenes + the interpolation scenes combine evrything with ffmpeg ). 3.. list is long... and i dind't finished my coffee yet, so here is a grok TEXT to video short movie (coz lol u hit the limit for today). Prompts i used for each scene are a little more advanced, so i can see what grok is able to do .. the prompts used are like this (can;t post all due to X limits ) : { "scene_1": { "global_cinematography": "Ultra-realistic Hollywood cyberpunk thriller in the vein of The Matrix (1999) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017), shot on Arri Alexa LF with anamorphic lenses for widescreen 2.39:1 aspect ratio, 24fps for fluid motion, desaturated palette dominated by cool blues, greens, and high-contrast neon reds piercing perpetual smog-choked night.
