I think Linux’s gripe with Nvidia was their lack of drivers or open source drivers? So some Nvidia stuff wouldn’t work with the Linux. Since most of physical & virtual servers run on Linux, Nvidia being difficult would frustrate the industry with their lack of drivers or inadequate drivers at the time. I’m not sure if this still occurs.
