I just had the greatest experience of my life. I'm still on cloud 9, and I don't think I want to come down. This weekend I stood in a crowd of about 400,000 people in Monza and watched a 19-year-old kid named Kimi Antonelli win the Italian Grand Prix. The first Italian to win it there in 60 years. By lap 18, he was already in the lead, trading places with his own teammate George Russell half a dozen times. Around half distance, the virtual safety car came out. George stayed out. Kimi pitted and came back out sixth, about 12 seconds behind him. Then he started chasing him down. Three laps from the end, he took the lead for good and finished 3 seconds ahead. In his home Grand Prix. I watched a kid's dream come true right in front of me. And then something happened I still can't believe. Out of tens of thousands of people, that same kid grabbed my selfie stick, the camera I bought a week ago just for this trip, and filmed a video on it. That's when it hit me. I wasn't only watching his dream come true. I was watching mine come true at the same time. My dad put F1 in front of me before I could remember a time without it. We used to wake up at 4 in the morning just to watch a race running on the other side of the world. He's not here to see this one. May he rest in peace. Standing right next to me was the best friend I've had for 30 years. The same guy I crashed a coupe with when we were 18, a coupe painted that exact Ferrari red. He flew in from another country because I asked him to. My wife was there through all of it. We lost my grandma this year, right in the middle of so much good. May she rest in peace. And 2026 has still been one of the best years of my life. I keep coming back to one thing. None of this found me by accident. There was a version of my life where I waited, where I let the market, the fear, and everyone else decide what I was allowed to have. I didn't choose that one. I made the hard decisions. I took control of my own life instead of asking permission to live it. Even that camera was a bet. I bought it not knowing if it was the right call. Then a future world champion picked it out of a sea of people. This weekend I got to go stand right in the middle of the life I built. In Monza. With the people who made me who I am. ‼️MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT‼️ On April 27th I filled my expanders to 9000 cc.. bye the following week, I noticed it was beginning to lose volume. Last Monday we determined it must be the port. So last Friday (two days ago) I underwent surgery to remove and replace the port on my left expander…. The following is a video proving that the expander itself is leaking and the port is not. we have no idea where the leak is coming from or how it started, but I’m left with one option: remove and replace the entire expander. I’m currently in a good deal of pain, following list surgery. And the next one is going to be fairly brutal. I had a falling out my best friend, after caring for her during her recent breast augmentation surgery…. I do anything to repair that relationship, especially now. I need help after surgery… Surgery is planned for Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, but it all depends on how soon we can get my replacement shipped. If you know more about him, read this❤️ Op introducing a comment found on Kian’s B& B YouTube It’s 2019 KBS Song Festival BTS Stages she ‘s talking about, and here’s the video clip of the jacket moment, watch SeokJin at the end of the clip! 🗣️ I am writing this comment because I want to record something I remember about SeokJin ☺️ In the winter of the year the pandemic hit, the last year-end before the pandemic, I was lucky enough to win a spot for the pre-recording of a year-end stage, and I spent almost 5 to 6 hours with BTS. What was even luckier was that my assigned spot was in top 10%, so I was quite close to the stage. That year, the time given to BTS for the year-end stage was over 30 minutes, it was like a mini concert. They did pre-recordings for several songs while changing the stage sets and also did rehearsal for the next day’s live broadcast, so I was able to watch them closely for a long time. And the one who left the strongest impression on me, even more than my bias, was SeokJin. When the PD-nim had messages or directions to convey to the members about the stage, or when he had something to discuss, he mostly communicated with SeokJin. And SeokJin took on the role of relaying all the messages to the other members. While managing the stage, if there were small details like, for example, if a jacket taken off during the performance was left there when it might get caught on camera and look messy, so make sure to throw it over to the back of the set, things like that. Jin relayed all those messages and directions to the members, and if there were members who couldn’t follow that direction, he quietly took care of small details behind the scenes, like quickly tossing away the jacket that was left behind when the camera was on other members. He was handling those little details behind the scene quietly alone with care, that was my impression. Even though he's the eldest, he's not the leader, not the main vocalist, nor the choreography leader, so when BTS is all together, I personally feel that the spotlight rarely shines on him. Also, since he's not the type of hyung who bosses around other members, saying, "I'm your senior," it’s probably not easy for SeokJin to leave a strong impression (*to casual viewers/general public) But the deeper you look into BTS, the more you see that SeokJin is a true gem, quietly working behind the scenes and taking good care of his younger members with a genuinely beautiful heart. While watching SeokJin for hours in moments that weren’t captured on camera, what I felt was that he’s truly sincere, attentive and meticulous, leading by examples with a strong sense of responsibility. And while taking care of everything like that, he’s not interested in taking credit for the things he did, he just quietly accomplished everything without drawing attention, his presence was like salt and light, I felt. I think this is why there are so many heartwarming stories about SeokJin in the entertainment industry.
