Just heard you say “no one is considering a not guilty “ in the Lindsay Clancy trial. I’d be one of the jurors holding out . You can’t be guilty of something you didn’t realize you were doing nor could you see the reality of it. The Catholic Catechism even recognizes this. I had temporary medication induced psychosis in the ICU for 2 days. You don’t know what the hell you are doing. The most moral person could do something horrible in that state because you can completely lose agency over your own actions. It’s like sleep walking in a nightmare state. I was in & out of awareness. You believe The delusions / hallucinations are 100% real at the time. If it’s temporary which can happen they would not have been able to diagnose her on a vent after. The way she threw herself out that window head first and was going from one thing to the next fits with the below. A nurse would have realized that was more likely to paralyze her. She could not see reality in that moment. If my mom killed me in that state, I can say honestly , that I would want her to be in a hospital. I usually do not believe the mentally insane defense. But in the Lindsay Clancy case , i actually think it’s probable and I’m someone who HATES violence ( used to work in osint for years tracking all kinds of violent terrorist orgs before I got a rare vasculitis condition and also volunteered after the Afghanistan withdrawal trying to help ask risk individuals who were being hunted and had to be hidden In a network of safehouses one of my friends who works in intel had set up for them ) First photo from @Ravenautumn80
