Look around you and see how people react. How they talk, how they look at you, how they judge you, what they do. Do they look at themselves, do they start to criticise other people? “Look around and you're going to learn the environment and the people that you have around you. “I cannot be prouder to work in a club with people that the only thing they could do is ask, what else can I do to help? “When you have people like this, I don't know if it's gonna take another week or two, but something good it will happen at the end because we deserve it.”

Full disclosure, I’ve known Danny for a few years now and featured TACT on episodes of Returning the Favor and People You Should Know. I was intrigued by the fact that so many autistic people related so naturally to the skilled trades and eager to see exactly how Danny was able to get so many “unemployable” individuals working full time in his Denver community. So too were my friends at Stand Together, who I introduced Danny to several years ago and who continue to support TACT to this day. I invited Danny onto The Way I Heard It because I think he’s onto something big and, more importantly, something duplicable and scalable. Learn more about what TACT is doing and support them here:
