This is why I love having a dog who can eat literally anything he gets all the scraps so I feel no guilt

for ppl talking about how its still wasteful: wrap it up and put it in the fridge

no coz genuinely one of the things that helped me when my binging was bad was "either its food waste in the bin, food waste in my body, or food waste in the toilet. its waste no matter which way you cut it. its More waste if i eat it coz thats a waste of energy and time too"

I come from a home and family born of poverty we're taught not to throw food out so personally idk how to feel about this😭😭

my mom grew up in poverty and she would hoard food in our fridge until it molded bc of her trauma. i was the only one who would do dishes so i was the one who had to clean out the fridge. id rather throw it away if no one is going to eat it
