This man has a hardened heart, unfortunately having never been bathed in unconditional love. Thank you Mom and Dad for always giving me unconditional love. I cherish and honor you both, your commitment to each other, my wife, and your grandkids. ❤️

take your mind off things and listen

This simple truth is often the most difficult to accept, especially when you’ve invested your emotions, time, or energy into someone. Emotional intelligence is crucial in dating.

Put your home in God and Jesus. Then you will be equipped to GIVE without expecting back. No one owes you anything , that should be the base line, then you are free to love and serve God’s people, and to shine as a manifested of the love of God. To a lost and dark world. That’s what we are really here for.

Don’t fall in love, you may get hurt ? Sorry mate but love is the key - even if sometimes you lose it’s worth the gamble

I like the "home" analogy. The old-school term for that, I think, was "co-dependence."

"Emotional home" is a strange term. I would simply say that human beings are good for one sure thing: they will all at some point let you down. Put your trust and hope in Jesus. He will never let you down.

How did you just randomly find @paulscanlonuk on the street? That man is a treasure trove of wisdom 👏🏽

@Venice_Wes He's 💯 correct. Bhikkhus, don't seek refuge. Be a refuge onto yourselves. Let the Dhamma be your refuge, be islands onto yourself. — Buddha’s final teaching to Ananda

He's right. If you don't have self love you'll never be able to love or connect with someone. So your emotional home is yourself.
