Yes. I received food stamps and help with child care while I worked and went to college. This is the issue… if you do better for yourself, they screw you. For example, if I worked harder to make my situation better… maybe I earned an extra $40 that month… they would take away $200. I’m blessed to receive the help, however the system is set up to help you fail. I managed to get my kids raised… 4 thru college, 1 going… 1 figuring life out and working. I beat a lot of odds with grace and grit. The system needs revamped.

I agree. We help people who really need it, but some people need to learn new skills to take care of themselves.

Fantastic , but the reality is you have had a MSM covering up for the massive offshoring of US industry and the insourcing of cheap labor which is just the tip of the iceberg. And then you got some kid living in a trailer park being told to get a job where there are none

How the hell did my great grandparents raise food for a family of 14 with no electricity, running water, or grocery stores in Grants Pass, 1900? Most living into their 90s. We’ve come a long way, America. 3 generations and need handouts to live.
