Used to have the best and most passionate fanbase in the league, selling out every single game and making RFK Stadium the hardest place to play. Now, opposing fanbases commonly takeover FedexField and Commanders fans haven’t sold out that place in 7 years.

Wow. Very cool. Those were the days. There’s a fun channel on YouTube and Facebook called Retro Skins that compiles highlights of old games. That’s where I found this. Highly recommend.

I was at that game. We had great fans and a sold out stadium (but let's not kid ourselves that we were better fans than any others). And if you point is he ruined that fervor we had, I agree. If your point is changing the name did that, you're dead wrong.

it's always about the next shiny object, the latest big tech release, the newest gizmo - but when you look back at an analog era like the Redskins #SuperBowl years, and how alive you felt, everything else is just hollow, shallow dreams.

He stole a lot from the Washington franchise, but that was going regardless of who the owner was. If anything, he kept it going longer than any other owner would have.
