They did say that cassie and nate’s storyline was supposed to be jules and nate’s storyline but apparently hunter and jacob had tension on set and requested to not have too many scenes together

Fresh thought: what if they quietly revisited it in season 3 through Jules' new life and Nate's mess? Would've added so much layers to his whole identity crisis.
